Overview

Visualization experts from the laboratory will introduce Avizo/Amira — an all-in-one application for visualization, segmentation, and analysis of imaging data. The workshop will start with introducing the basic usage of Avizo, e.g., installation, user interface, data loading, and basic visualizations. This will be followed by two simple real-world examples demonstrating basic workflows in Avizo. The goal of the workshop is to give an overview of Avizo and enable participants to start using and confidently explore its vast advanced capabilities.

Who Should Attend?

The target audience for this workshop are KAUST users who want to visualize, segment, process, and/or analyze their imaging data (image stacks), e.g., from optical microscopes, electron microscopes (TEM, SEM, Cryo-SEM/TEM, FIB, etc.), and other imaging techniques.
