KVL Facilities
All KVL facilities need to have an approved booking prior to use. You can view our bookings calendar below to see existing bookings prior to making your booking request using the facility bookings form.

Facility Overviews
KVL manages six primary facilities:
- Zone 1: Windows OS based planar display wall
- Zone 1 is a Windows OS based planer display wall. It functions just like a regular Windows PC.
- Zone 2: Large planar display wall
- Zone 2 is our large display wall that has multiple control options. For information on how to control Zone 2 see our Zone 2 Guide
- Zone 5: Semi-immersive curved VR display wall
- Zone 5, or NexCAVE, is a semi-immersive VR environment in a semi-circle configuration. It allows for partial immersion in your data, individually, or more ideally, with a large group, which is one distinguishing featuring setting it apart from head-mounted-displays.
- Cubes: Semi-immersive curved VR display wall
- Cubes is a semi-immersive virtual reality environment featuring a 42 megapixel display.
- Multi-purpose Room (MPR): Stadium style seating and projection space
- The multi-purpose room is a large room with a 3D capable projector. This room is used for meetings, workshops, and other campus functions.
- Vive: Head-mounted VR headsets and high-end Windows OS workstations (can also be used for large-scale Avizo processing, e.g., deep learning segmentation)
- KVL has multiple head-mounted displays and high-end workstations setup for AR/VR demos and development.
