Introduction to Containers on KSL Platforms
Overview
The KAUST Supercomputing Core Lab invites you to attend a training workshop on Introduction to Containers on KSL platforms. Containers are a way to encapsulate the runtime environment for an application to make it portable across many platforms, from and to your workstation, cloud, Ibex, Neser, Shaheen, and beyond. The popularity of container technology in HPC, Bioinformatics, and Data Science, is a strong motivation to familiarize with this technology. The portability offered by containers can potentially increase productivity in scientific investigation, ensure reproducibility of results and promote collaboration by sharing/publishing the software environment for use by others on their computational platforms with minimal to no effort.
Who Should Attend?
The target audience for this workshop is KAUST users interested in Data Science.
